About Urban Orchid
If you need some flowers to brighten a day or mend a broken fence, you'll find any number of markets and shops that can adequately get the job done. If you had something significantly more spectacular in mind, the artists of the Urban Orchid are who you need to see. The output of this nascent shop in Ohio City can scarcely be called floral arrangements; they are floral art of the highest order" -- Cleveland Scene, Best of Cleveland Issue

Florists in the United States range from neighborhood flower shops with a walk-in cooler to studio designers who work only by appointment for weddings and events. Most retail florists build arrangements to order, deliver the same day when you call before early afternoon, and belong to a wire network (FTD, Teleflora or BloomNet) that passes out-of-town orders to a local shop. Ordering from the shop directly rather than through a national website usually means more flowers for the money, because no order-gatherer takes a cut. Flower markets and wholesalers sell loose stems and bunches, often early in the morning, and many now open to the public. Flower farms grow seasonal blooms such as dahlias, peonies and sunflowers and sell by the bucket, by subscription or as pick-your-own.

I had an amazing experience with Urban Orchid. From the very beginning, they truly listened to my vision and brought it to life even better than I imagined. I had a specific style and budget in mind, and they managed to capture every detail perfectly while staying within the price range I gave them. Their creativity, attention to detail, and professionalism really stood out. The final arrangement was absolutely stunning and exceeded my expectations in every way. It’s rare to find a florist who can balance artistry and affordability so well. I would highly recommend Urban Orchid to anyone looking for beautiful, thoughtfully designed floral arrangements and a team that genuinely cares about making your vision come to life.

We do not have professional photos yet but I can’t wait any longer to say thank you to Lori & the Urban Orchid team for their beautiful bouquets and florals at my daughters wedding on October 11th. They were able to take my daughter’s ideas and bring them to life! Just absolutely stunning. So many people wanted to know where the flowers came from! From the moment we sat down with Lori, my daughter & I connected with her and we loved her ideas creativity and energy. Thank you so much. You are all amazing!

Brandon and the whole team at Urban Orchid were a dream to work with for my wedding! He asked a lot of great questions in our initial consultation to help me figure out exactly what I was going for, and also provided great suggestions for tweaks to help me stay within my budget. Lori was also very quick to answer my questions throughout the planning process. Everything turned out perfectly - even better than the vision I had in my head! My bouquet was truly beautiful and I received so many compliments on it. I also absolutely loved the flower arch they designed for me (I wish I could have taken it home!). Overall I am so glad that I chose Urban Orchid for my floral design. They were truly my easiest vendor to work with and did a fantastic job. I wouldn’t have changed anything!
